A short story: Borja ring

Borja was one of the first pieces I carved after returning from Japan, a place where the artisans’ philosophy ignited something in me. They taught me that beauty lies in the natural, the imperfect. It was there I let go of the fear of not achieving perfection—why should I chase it?

The Japanese makers were creating works that weren’t flawless, yet they were undeniably captivating. They revealed the truth: imperfection holds its own kind of beauty, a story, a depth. I returned home with a hunger to create, to explore, to immerse myself in this new world of metalworking, to shape something real and raw.

Borja embodies the many facets of our cyclic nature as women. The contrasts within us—the gentle flow and the fierce power. Not perfect, but beautiful in our complexity, in every side, every angle. Each facet reflects a different part of who we are, constantly evolving, forever strong.
