Sofia Maria Tomasella presents a collection of fine jewellery shaped by the interplay of simplicity and intricacy. Her work draws from organic forms, natural textures, and the quiet beauty of imperfection — each piece designed to become a modern heirloom.
The eponymous line is designed by Sofia in her Sydney studio and handcrafted using locally sourced recycled metals and responsibly sourced gemstones. Characterised by soft, fluid lines and a high-shine finish, the collection reflects a refined yet grounded aesthetic.
Born in Buenos Aires and raised in a family of architects, Sofia studied fashion and textile design at Palermo University before moving to Australia in 2016. Her early background in bridal and evening wear instilled an appreciation for detail, intimacy, and craftsmanship — a sensibility that continues to inform her jewellery practice.
Influenced by the Japanese philosophy of wabi sabi, Sofia embraces asymmetry, modesty, and the marks of the maker. She works from her light-filled studio in Freshwater, alongside her husband Tom and their dog Antonio — creating pieces intended to be worn with ease, woven into the everyday, and held onto over years.
